This example shows most of the different kinds of Done Marker usages. Note that some of the comments are purely personal commentary; others are more informational that might lead to further action (like reducing gas usage or scheduling a new time to meet with Bob). Also note one of the items was not marked as done - the "bread" item on the last line. Maybe they were out of bread, but you still need to complete this item, so it can be left until the next day on which it will hopefully be back in stock. The OK completion status here is used to indicate that you didn't actually complete the item, but it resolved itself and does not need further action.

At this point you might be wondering, what is the point of the Done Marker? Why not simply remove these items once they are done? Well there is a very good reason for this, and it leads us into the next technique to be discussed, the Review.
